Job summary

Reno Iconic Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, budgets, BOQs, and tender submissions for M&E and construction projects.

You will take-offs from drawings, evaluate quotations, negotiate with suppliers, assess tenders, and certify progress claims, VO's, interim payments, and final accounts.

You will liaise with project teams and clients to manage commercial matters and monitor market pricing to support competitive tendering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of tendering and project QS experience.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD and QS software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet tight tender deadlines.

Job description

Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender submissions for M&E and construction projects.

Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analyses based on project drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.

Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective procurement.

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier tenders and recommend suitable award proposals.

Prepare and certify subcontractor progress claims, variation orders (VOs), interim payments, and final accounts.

Liaise with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage commercial and contractual matters effectively.

Monitor market pricing, material cost trends, and industry developments to support competitive tendering and budgeting.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tendering and project quantity surveying, preferably in the construction and/or M&E industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight tender deadlines.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
