Job summary

OGC BUILDER SDN.BHD is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to prepare quantity take-offs, estimates and Bills of Quantities, and to monitor project costs and expenditures. You will prepare tender documents, evaluate quotations and manage contracts and variations, liaising with clients, consultants and suppliers.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, with 1–2 years of experience, proficient in Excel and familiar with AutoCAD.

• 1–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or construction industry is preferred.

This role involves preparing quantity take-offs, measurements and Bills of Quantities (BQ), as well as managing project costs, budgets and cost plans. You will prepare and evaluate tender documents, quotations and tender submissions, source and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations, and monitor and control project costs and expenditures. The role includes preparing progress claims, payment certificates and variation orders (VO), checking and verifying subcontractor claims and invoices, and assisting in contract administration and management. You will monitor variations, extension of time (EOT) and contractual matters, liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, prepare cost reports and monthly project reports, and maintain proper records of contracts, measurements, claims and supporting documents.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or construction industry is preferred
• Knowledge of measurement, costing, tendering and contract administration
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and other relevant software
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
• Familiar with construction drawings and specifications
• Good analytical, numerical and negotiation skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel to project sites when required
