AXEL PROJECTS SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage contracts, cost control, and procurement throughout project execution. You will prepare bills of quantities, handle variation orders, and attend client meetings to resolve issues.
The ideal candidate has a Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 3 years of experience in construction, and proficiency in MS Office and project documentation; on-site work in Selangor is required.
This role involves contract documentation, tender preparation, budget estimation, and cost management throughout project execution. You will oversee procurement, prepare bills of quantities and variation orders, manage claims and final accounts, and attend site and client meetings to resolve issues as they arise.
Carry out contract documentation and preparation relating to tender acceptance and contract execution
Study the scope of work of the tender; estimate budget, prepare time schedule to pricing tender, quotation list, and list out raw material
Request quotation, make a comparison, build up rate and pricing tender
Oversee negotiation and procurement of materials and equipment during project duration
Oversee preparation of BQ, variation orders, cost estimate, cost control and budgeting
Prepare progress claims, final account, valuation of contract works and manage contractual claims
Prepare valuation of subcontractors' progress claim, re-measurement and variation of works
Attend site meetings and client meetings to solve any problems that may arise
Assist project team in letter, report writing and correspondences
Diploma holder or professional degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project Documentation, and AutoCAD (optional)
Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project control processes
Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in the construction sector
Willing to work on-site as required by the role
