Job summary

Austin Heights in Johor Bahru is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support a range of property development and construction projects. You will handle pre- and post-contract administration, take-offs, BOQs, valuations, and final accounts, ensuring timely cost reporting and cost-conscious project delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in QS roles, a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, strong contract knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team;

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying work
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, contract administration, and contract law
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive prices
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
• Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Self-motivated, responsible and willing to learn
• Willing to travel to project sites when required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise with consultants, contractors, site personnel, and project teams on all Quantity Surveying matters
• Assist in pre- and post-contract administration, including taking-off quantities, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ), material procurement, tendering, and contract award processes
• Conduct site valuation and measurement, monthly interim payment certification, Variation Order (VO) assessment, final accounts, and other related QS activities
• Attend site meetings, project meetings, and meetings with clients and consultants
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within the approved budget
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time

About you
