ZHEN YUAN CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare take-offs, costings and bills of quantities for projects in Malaysia.
You will estimate materials, prepare quotations, variation orders and progress claims while tracking budgets and expenditures to keep projects within approved limits. Strong numerical and analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are essential. Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying with 2–5 years of relevant experience is preferred;
This role involves preparing quantity take-offs, measurements, costing and material estimates based on drawings, specifications and project requirements. You will prepare Bills of Quantities, quotations, variation orders and progress claims, while monitoring project costs, budgets and expenditure to ensure projects are carried out within approved budgets.

Control and monitor material purchasing quantities based on actual site requirements, approved quantities and project progress
Prepare material purchase requisitions and ensure purchase quantities are properly calculated before procurement
Coordinate with site team, suppliers, subcontractors and purchasing department regarding material requirements and delivery schedules
Check and verify material quantities delivered to site against purchase orders, delivery orders and actual requirements
Monitor material usage, wastage and balance quantities at site to minimise unnecessary purchases and material wastage
Compare actual material consumption against estimated/approved quantities and highlight any significant discrepancies
Review suppliers' quotations, negotiate prices and source competitive quotations where required
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Preferably 2–5 years of experience in construction / quantity surveying
Good knowledge of construction materials, quantities, costing and procurement
Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience in controlling material quantities and project costs will be an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software is preferred
