A Quantity Surveyor role involving preparation of quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates for construction projects. The role includes assisting in preparing project budgets and cost plans, reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing and evaluating tender documents, and monitoring project costs and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates for construction projects
Assist in preparing project budgets and cost plans
Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements
Prepare and evaluate tender documents and quotations
Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
Assist with tender evaluation and provide cost recommendations to management
Monitor project costs, variations and overall expenditure
Prepare and evaluate variation orders, progress claims and payment certificates
Verify work progress and quantities completed at site
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site personnel
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
Basic knowledge of quantity take-off, measurement, costing and construction practices
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may be considered
Experience in property/construction projects is an advantage
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and QS-related software is an advantage
Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to travel to construction sites when required
