Job summary

LK GLOBAL ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our cost-control team in Malaysia. You will prepare estimates, manage Bills of Quantities, and support tendering activities to ensure competitive bids.

We welcome Diploma or Bachelor's graduates with solid knowledge of contracts, cost estimation, and strong negotiation and communication skills. The role requires independent work and timely delivery within project budgets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for Junior QS positions)
• Knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, and cost estimation
• Able to prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), quotations, and project cost estimates
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (experience with QS software is an advantage)
• Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
• Evaluate quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare progress claims, subcontractor claims, and payment certificates.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure effective cost control throughout the project.
• Maintain proper project documentation and cost records.
