Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform testing for acceptance of incoming materials and production materials.

Job description

The Quality Technician, within a limited area of production, is responsible for inspection and test of incoming materials, work in process, and finished goods to establish material quality and lot acceptance to specifications, along with operating relevant test equipment and input of related data into quality system databases and the generation of required reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Perform a variety of testing required for acceptance of incoming raw materials and production material in a timely manner
• Enter data into quality system databases to document and maintain test, inspection, & calibration records
• Work according to written operating procedures
• Operate computer programs to generate reports and issue quality certifications
• Maintain quality hold cages and containment of non-conforming material
• Work with basic math, statistical, and chemical equations
• Partner with technical support, manufacturing, quality engineers, as well as operations staff, to meet objectives
• Read and interpret simple drawings and diagrams
• Exercise authority to accept or reject material
• Exercise authority to remove monitoring and measurement equipment from service
• Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical Certificate, Diploma or Graduate
