Job summary

Knowles Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced QC/QA professional to lead in-process and outgoing quality activities within our semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will drive Kaizen-like improvements, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure compliance with QMS/EMS/OSH standards. The role demands a Bachelor’s degree in Science with 8+ years in QC, strong root-cause analysis, FMEA participation, and effective communication to deliver timely 8D reports and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of QC experience in semiconductor/electronic field.
• Familiar with QC tools and methodologies (QC 7 Tools, SPC, FMEA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute quality plans, test procedures and inspection protocols for manufacturing processes.
• Investigate and document non-conforming product occurrences with root cause analysis.
• Monitor outgoing QA gates and DPPM trends; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and yield.
• Lead investigations of customer complaints and deliver 8D reports promptly.
• Participate in FMEA activities to identify quality risks and mitigation.
• Support internal audits and ensure corrective/preventive action effectiveness.

Job description

Responsible for in process and outgoing quality control related activities and to work closely with the internal team for the closure of all customers complains Supervise team to meet group goals and drive continuous improvement among cross-functional team for in process and outgoing quality control and improvement. Develop new material/ equipment/ product qualification plan and coordinate quality qualification. Analyze the data and the trend for progress and product improvement opportunities. Continue driving for Kaizen or Six Sigma improvement project to add value for the company.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute quality plans, test procedures and inspection protocols for manufacturing processes.

2. Investigate and document non-conforming product occurrences, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

3. Monitor and analyze product performance at outgoing quality inspection gate such as monitoring of outgoing DPPM trend and driving for continuous improvement to achieve the target goal.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and yield.

5. Work with the field and cross functional team for the investigation of customer complaint and provide the 8D report to our customer timely.

6. Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities to proactively identify potential quality risks.

7. Support internal audit to ensure internal process quality control system compliance and corrective/ preventive action effectiveness.

8. Provide technical support and training on quality procedures to quality and production personnel.

9. Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the procedures consistent with certification of QMS, EMS and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.

10. Coordinates with other departments regarding customer complaints, quality of parts, inspection processes and product quality questions.

11. Where deem necessary, initiate the defect containment activities through suspending the delivery/warehousing/production

12. Establishing and maintaining procedures consistent with certification of QMS, EMS and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.

13. Provides training for subordinates and contractors (if any), in line with QMS, EMS and OSH Management Systems/ Standards/ Procedures, where necessary.

14. To carry out assignments and assist QA Manager and above in overall quality assurance activities as per required.

15. To ensure that quality activities performed by incumbent and subordinates (if any) fall in line with QMS, EMS and OSH Management Systems/ Standards procedures.

Authorities

1. Product or material buyoff and release.

2. Nonconformance products or material release upon MRB approval.

3. Stop production and/or shipment.

Position Requirement

Education : Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.

Experience : At least 8 years of working experience in the QC field at semiconductor/ electronic field.

Skill : QC 7 Tools, SPC, FMEA.
