Job summary

Chenbro (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer Manager to lead the CQE department at our Johor facility. You will drive quality initiatives, oversee RCAs and 8D handling, and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve customer quality concerns.

You will review quality metrics, implement CAPAs, and mentor a quality team to strengthen technical capabilities. This role requires hands-on problem solving and a strong customer focus within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mold Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in Quality Engineering, Customer Quality Engineering, or related quality function.
• 3+ years in supervisory, team lead, or managerial capacity.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of mold construction, machining principles, and practical mold design concepts.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, monitor, and review the department’s annual KPIs.
• Evaluate departmental performance and ensure quality objectives are aligned with company goals.
• Take ownership of customer complaints and ensure timely response and resolution.
• Prepare and review quality-related reports such as 8D, RCCA, SCAR, and Failure Analysis.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent repeated issues.
• Act as the key quality contact person for customers.
• Provide quality updates, reports, and technical information during customer meetings and reviews.
• Maintain effective communication with customers to support high customer satisfaction.
• Work with internal departments to investigate and resolve customer quality concerns.
• Monitor quality-related projects and action plans to ensure timely completion and follow-up.
• Plan and organize CQE activities and manage daily quality operations.
• Supervise, guide, coach, and assess team members to improve technical capabilities and quality knowledge.
• Demonstrate leadership, team management, and people development capabilities.
• Strong customer-oriented mindset with commitment to quality and satisfaction.
