Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a proactive Customer Quality Engineer for our client in Johor to manage customer quality expectations and drive root-cause investigations. The role involves leading cross-functional teams and presenting quality performance data to senior management.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor Degree and have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for regional liaison.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for customer quality inquiries, feedback, and issue escalations.
• Lead cross-functional investigation teams to resolve customer complaints using structured methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Monitor customer quality metrics (DPPM, claim rates, satisfaction) and drive CAPA plans.
• Prepare and present customer quality reports and trends to senior management.
• Conduct product validation, process audits and line walk-throughs to verify compliance.
• Update FMEAs, Control Plans, and SOPs based on field feedback.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer quality inquiries, feedback, and issue escalations.
• Lead cross-functional investigation teams to resolve customer complaints using structured methodologies like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone analysis.
• Monitor customer quality metrics (DPPM, claim rates, customer satisfaction) and drive internal corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
• Prepare, review, and present comprehensive customer quality reports, trends, and quality performance data to senior management.
• Conduct product validation, process audits, and line walk-throughs to verify compliance with customer-specific requirements.
• Update key quality documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, and standard operating procedures, based on field and internal quality feedback.

the experience

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in customer quality or quality engineering within a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to liaise with regional clients.
