Job summary

Brooks Automation in Malaysia (Johor) is seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to lead day-to-day quality operations on the production floor. You'll manage Quality Engineers and Inspectors, drive CAPA/NCR processes, and ensure adherence to QMS and ISO 9001 standards.

You will collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, monitor metrics, and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–8 years quality experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, NCR, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Poka-Yoke.
• Experience with audits, QMS, MES, ERP systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or CQE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality activities on the production floor.
• Manage and develop Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Drive CAPA, NCR, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and ISO 9001 standards.
• Support internal and external audits and audit readiness.
• Coordinate 8D investigations for customer issues.
• Collaborate with Production to prevent recurrence.
