Ascentec Engineering Malaysia seeks a QC inspector to conduct dimensional measurement and quality inspection on in-process, finished, and assembled parts in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will use precision gauges and interpret drawings per ASME Y14.5M, report non-conformances, and ensure timely release of parts to avoid line downtime.
The role also involves maintaining inspection records, complying with FAIR requirements, and training new inspectors in inspection methods and equipment as needed.
To perform dimensional measurement and quality inspection for in-process, finished, assembled parts and FA parts according to part drawings, specifications and inspection checklist.
To use variety of precision measuring instruments such as VMM, profilometer, indicators, height gauge, micro-meters and any other inspection gauges.
To perform in-process inspection, detailed visual inspection, receiving inspection, pre/post anodize parts, pre/post assembly parts and final inspection. Ensuring no cosmetic escape to next process.
To review and interpret drawings (per ASME Y14.5M) and understanding customer cosmetic specification.
To review and verify all non-conformance items and issuing Non-Conformance Report when found during the inspection. Including providing effective inspection findings.
To ensure all parts are inspected promptly and released in a timely manner to avoid any line down-time.
To comply and maintain QC inspection reports/checklist appropriately.
Understanding customer FAIR requirements and always ensuring 5S at workplace.
To perform any other QC tasks required.
To train other/new inspectors related to inspection methods and equipment.
Assist in any tasks as instructed by your superior and/or management of AESB from time to time
