Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a QC Inspector in Penang, Malaysia, to perform daily quality control inspections across incoming, in-process, and outgoing items, ensuring adherence to quality requirements. You will document results, prepare COCs for shipments, and maintain inspection reports.

You will support QA Engineers in investigations and continuous improvement, while handling labeling accuracy and related QA duties. Shift work is required, and basic Bahasa Malaysia and English are expected.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification or 2+ years’ experience in quality inspection.
• Basic Bahasa Malaysia and English understood.
• Basic math and basic computer skills (MS Word / Excel).
• Able to use simple measurement tools.
• Able to use a microscope or magnifying glass for product checks.
• Willing to work shifts and follow instructions.

The QC Inspector is responsible for Quality Inspection in the department.

What You Will Do

• Perform daily quality control inspection activities, including incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections, to ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
• Accurately record and maintain inspection results and quality data in the designated system.
• Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformance (COC) for outgoing shipments.
• Generate and maintain final inspection reports as required.
• Prepare and verify product labels to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support QA Engineers in quality-related activities, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative and operational support for quality assurance functions and other related duties as assigned.

We Are Looking For

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
• Able to understand basic Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Basic Mathematic and basic computer skills (Microsoft Words / Excel ...etc).
• Able to use simple measurement tools.
• Candidate must be able to use the microscope or magnifying glass for product check.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Able to work shifts.
