Job summary

Adient Automotive Malaysia in Tanjung Malim is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. In this full-time role, you will develop and maintain quality control systems, conduct audits, and collaborate with production to improve processes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years in automotive quality engineering, with strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of quality engineering in automotive.
• Knowledge of QC principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Mandarin language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures to ensure product excellence.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise to production teams to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Document and report on quality metrics, offering insights for continuous improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of new quality initiatives and best practices.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Quality Plans and QMS procedures through routine audits.
• Review and revise documentation related to QC/QA matters.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers/vendors to resolve foam quality-related issues.
• Conduct foam quality review meetings at appropriate intervals.
• Coordinate plant activities on Layered Process Audits and ODS Audits.
• Support part quality for new product development during launch activities.
• Drive foam quality improvement by analyzing quality data and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide monthly reports on Quality Department KPI achievements.
• Train Quality Inspectors and Technicians on routine work activities.

What we’re looking for

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Mandarin communication skills are an added advantage.
