Job summary

Adient Automotive Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineer in Tanjung Malim to ensure product excellence across processes and automotive products. You will develop and implement QC systems, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement in QA/QC activities.

The role requires 3–5 years in quality engineering within the automotive sector, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, with Mandarin being an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills across teams.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Mandarin communication skills are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures to ensure product excellence.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise to production teams to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Document and report on quality metrics, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of new quality initiatives and best practices.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Quality Plans and QMS procedures through routine audits.
• Review and revise documentation related to QC/QA matters.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers/vendors to resolve foam quality-related issues.
• Conduct foam quality review meetings at appropriate intervals.
• Coordinate plant activities on Layered Process Audits and ODS Audits.
• Support part quality for new product development during launch activities.
• Drive foam quality improvement by analyzing quality data and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide monthly reports on Quality Department KPI achievements.
• Train Quality Inspectors and Technicians on routine work activities.
