Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer in Bayan Lepas, Penang, to ensure product quality and support New Product Introduction (NPI). You will drive process improvements across manufacturing and supplier quality, and lead corrective actions when issues arise.

The role requires a minimum of two years in quality, strong knowledge of GD&T and inspection methods, and familiarity with ISO 9001. You will collaborate with customers and suppliers to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in mechanical or materials engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of quality-related experience.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with NPI, FA, PPAP is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inspection and quality control processes.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and PPAP activities.
• Handle customer complaints, lead 8D investigations, and drive corrective actions.
• Perform MSA, SPC, and process capability analysis.
• Conduct internal, process, and supplier audits.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain inspection and quality control processes
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and PPAP activities
• Handle customer complaints, lead 8D investigations, and drive effective corrective actions
• Perform MSA, SPC, and process capability analysis
• Conduct internal, process, and supplier audits
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and resolve incoming quality issues

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality-related role
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods
• Experience in NPI / FA / PPAP is an advantage
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
