Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for precision plastics/CNC to oversee daily QC on manufacturing lines. You will review inspections, manage non-conformances, and ensure conformity to drawings and specs.

You will lead a small QC team, apply 8D/5 Why tools, and support ISO quality procedures while driving process improvements with Production and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality control/assurance experience in high-precision manufacturing.

Quality Control Supervisor (Precision Plastic/CNC )

Oversee daily quality control operations across precision manufacturing lines, ensuring incoming, in-process, and final inspections adhere to engineering drawings, quality standards, and technical specifications.

Review inspection results, monitor product conformance, and manage non-conforming materials to prevent defects and reduce scrap or rework.

Provide technical quality support by interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD specifications, while establishing appropriate measurement techniques and maintaining inspection equipment.

Investigate internal quality issues and customer complaints, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Why, Fishbone, and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Maintain quality documentation, drive ISO quality management system procedures, support internal/external audits, and report quality KPIs to management.

Supervise, coach, and allocate tasks to a team of QC inspectors, ensuring proper manpower coverage and adherence to quality discipline on the production floor.

Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams on process improvements, defect trend analysis, and quality optimization initiatives.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on quality control/assurance experience within high-precision manufacturing environments, specifically involving precision plastic manufacturing, CNC machining, welding processes, and semiconductor or precision components.

Strong technical capability to read and interpret CAD files, technical engineering drawings, and GD&T.

Proficient in operating precision measurement tools (such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment).

Solid working knowledge of quality problem-solving tools and methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans).

Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and experience acting as a document controller for quality management systems.

Able to lead and guide a small team of QC inspectors with a hands-on, proactive approach on the production floor.
