Job summary

Poly-Max Sdn Bhd, an ISO 9001:2008 certified packaging manufacturer, seeks a Quality Assurance and Control Manager to lead QA/QC systems across production.

You will develop, implement, and maintain QA processes aligned with ISO 9001/14001/45001, conduct supplier and internal audits, and drive CAPA actions. Candidates should have a degree in polymer science or related field, 5+ years in manufacturing QA/QC, and strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Polymer Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Min. 5 years of working experience in manufacturing QA/QC role.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is highly preferred.
• Individual with high sense of responsibility.
• Strong communication, leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001,14001 and 45001;
• Establish quality control standards, inspection methods, and test procedures.
• Ensure product quality consistency across all production batches.
• Assist in internal and external audits, including supplier audits.
• Monitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to safety procedures and legal compliance.

Quality Control

• Perform in-process and final product inspections for thickness, density, and other key foam/plastic properties.
• Conduct regular checks on raw materials and finished goods.
• Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective/preventive actions (“CAPA”).
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC performance reports.
• Recommend process improvements based on root cause analysis.
• Train production operators on quality standards and procedures.
• Promote a quality-first and safety-focused culture on the production floor.

To ensure that all Company’s Products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards by implementing effective quality control systems, process checks, and continuous improvement measures.
