Job summary

Dialog Group Berhad is seeking a seasoned Welding Inspector to monitor QA/QC activities on-site, witness materials, and ensure adherence to ITP and project specifications. The role involves liaising with clients and subcontractors to implement site QC plans and reviewing MTCs to meet HSE standards.

The candidate should hold a KKA Welding Inspector Cert. and ASTN/PCN or equivalent, with at least 5 years in oil and gas, power, LNG pipelines, or heavy steel structural inspections.

Qualifications

• KKA Welding Inspector Cert. is required or equivalent.
• ASTN/PCN or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years in oil & gas, power, LNG pipelines or heavy steel structural inspection.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily QA/QC works at project sites.
• Witness and inspect project materials and arrange for inspection.
• Liaise with QA/QC engineers, clients or sub-contractors for site QC plan implementation.
• Perform and witness daily QC activities and tests to ensure compliance with ITP and project requirements.
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTC) and material specifications to meet HSE requirements.
• Produce Weld Map and joint summary.
• Issue NCR, SCAR and QAN for deviations from procedural requirements.

Job description

Monitor all inspection work to ensure adherence to the standard and project specification as well as to complete the job with engineering quality standard and codes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for effective execution of approved inspection test plans.
• Monitor and supervise daily QA/QC works at project sites.
• Monitor NDT / PWHT status to ensure no backlog prior delivery to site.
• Witness and inspect the project materials and arrange for inspection.
• Liaise with QA / QC engineers, clients or sub-contractors for site QC plan implementation.
• Perform and witness daily QC activities and testings to ensure they are as per ITP and project requirement.
• Conduct inspection of raw materials, bought out items and review of Material Test Certificates (MTC) and the specification requirements to comply with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Produce Weld Map and joint summary.
• Issue NCR, SCAR and QAN as required where defective workmanship of deviations from Procedural requirements are detected.

Job Requirements:

• KKA Welding Inspector Cert.
• ASTN / PCN or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in oil and gas / power plant / LNG pipeline / Heavy Steel Structural. Industries especially in inspection works.

Technical Requirements:

• Familiar with all the QC inspection equipment as well as the standard codes / project requirements and QA/QC plan or manual
