Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced QAQC professional to lead the offshore quality program across FPSO, FPU, and related offshore platform projects. The role focuses on implementing ISO 9001-compliant QMS, developing PQP/ITPs, and ensuring adherence to client specifications and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate audits, monitor KPIs, manage NCRs, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring site inspectors and coordinating with clients, contractors, and classifications societies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of QAQC experience within offshore Oil & Gas projects, FPSO, FPU, FLNG, offshore platforms or other floating facilities.
  • Strong background in fabrication, construction, inspection, testing, commissioning, and project quality management.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, PQP, ITPs, and NCR management.
  • Familiarity with Classification Society requirements, international codes, and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of welding inspection, NDT methods, fabrication quality control, and construction QA.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, supervise, and lead inspection and quality personnel across multiple project phases.
  • Preferred: FPSO, FSO, FLNG, FPU, Semi-Submersible, or offshore platform projects.
  • Exposure to shipyard fabrication, topside module construction, integration, and commissioning.
  • Experience with EPC, EPCIC, shipyards, offshore fabricators, operators, or Classification Societies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001 requirements, classifications society rules, client specs, and contracts.
  • Develop and execute Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with approved procedures, engineering specifications, drawings, applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish project-specific quality requirements for fabrication, construction, testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and manage quality deliverables, including procedures, quality reports, NCR close-out documentation, inspection dossiers, and client submissions.
  • Maintain effective document control and traceability of quality records.
  • Monitor and analyze Quality KPIs, NCRs, punch list items, and inspection performance metrics.
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend CAPA.
  • Maintain NCR registers and track quality performance trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review and decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing recurring quality issues, defects, and inspection findings.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture across project teams through coaching, awareness programs, and engagement activities.
  • Support lessons learned initiatives and implement strategies to enhance overall project quality performance.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and recommend further improvements where required.
  • Conduct and coordinate site surveillance, inspections, and quality walkdowns to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor inspection execution against approved ITPs and ensure inspection activities are adequately resourced.
  • Review inspection results and ensure timely resolution of quality deficiencies and non-conformances.
  • Coordinate internal audits and participate in client, Classification Society, and third-party audits.
  • Assist in audit planning, reporting, and close-out of audit findings.
  • Monitor subcontractor, vendor, and supplier quality performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Liaise with clients, project management, engineering disciplines, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors on quality-related matters.
  • Represent the QAQC function during project meetings, audits, inspections, and client engagements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to inspectors and site personnel.
  • Promote stakeholder confidence by ensuring transparency, compliance, and alignment with project quality objectives.
  • Ensure inspection equipment, measuring devices, and testing instruments are calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • Monitor RFI submissions and coordinate timely approvals with clients and Classification Society representatives.
  • Analyze rejected inspections and failed RFIs to identify improvement opportunities and prevent recurrence.
  • Support quality manpower planning and resource allocation to meet project requirements.

Requirements Education
