Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan EPS Consultants Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia seeks a seasoned QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance for steel fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with ASME codes, NDT standards and project procedures. Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in quality assurance/inspection for steel fabrication pressure vessels/skid structures.
• Familiar with ASME code, ASME Sec VIII/Sec IX/Sec V, ASTM & AWS Codes, WPS/PQR, NDT.
• Experience in manufacturing processes including foundry, fabrication, machining, welding, NDE, heat treatment, painting and coating.
• Responsible, meticulous with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement & maintain Quality Management Plan and lead the development of QA/QC procedures.
• Review and approve project documents including ITP, specifications, technical reports, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and resolve QA/QC issues such as welding, NDT and inspection/testing.
• Ensure QC inspection and testing activities comply with documents, project procedures and relevant industrial codes/standards.
• Plan and conduct ISO internal audits related to QMS and customer requirements.
• Lead analysis of quality problems and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Prepare monthly quality reports for rejected or returned parts.
• Train personnel in quality inspection methods and supervise supplier/subcontractor qualification with PIC department.

Job description

• Develop, implement & maintain Quality Management Plan & Lead the development of QAQC related procedures.
• Responsible for document review and approval project documents, including Inspection and Test Plan, specifications, technical reports, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project guidelines.
• Manage and resolve technical issues in QA/QC matters such as welding, NDT and inspection & testing.
• Manage and ensure QC inspection and testing activities in accordance complied with requirement of document, project procedures and relevant industrial codes/standards.
• Manage day to day nonconformities and ensure the correction and corrective action are closed appropriately.
• Prepare monthly quality report for those rejected or returned defect parts.
• Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.
• Establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS).
• Plan and conduct ISO internal audits related to QMS, customer’s requirements and quality improvement projects.
• Develop inspection method and conduct training for personnel needing the skill and knowledge to perform quality inspection.
• Work with PIC department on the assessment and qualification of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead in analysis of causes of quality problems and timely implementation of corrective/preventive action for improvement.
• Carry out analysis of QA reports and make appropriate recommendation or decision as deemed fit.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCES

• At least 8 years of working experience in quality assurance/inspection with steel fabrication pressure vessel/skid structure.
• Familiar with ASME code, ASME Sec VIII/ Sec IX /Sec V, ASTM & AWS Codes, WPS/PQR, NDT
• Experience and knowledge in manufacturing processes and product characteristics including foundry, fabrication, machining, welding, NDE, heat treatment, painting and coating activities
• Responsible, meticulous, and good documentation skill.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 Valid will be an added advantage.
