Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced QA/QC professional to support offshore projects in quality management, inspections, and documentation control. You will coordinate site inspections, manage NCRs, and drive corrective actions across multiple teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least five years in QAQC within offshore environments and familiarity with ISO 9001 and NDT. Collaboration with clients, vendors, and inspectors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years QAQC experience in offshore Oil & Gas, FPSO, floating facilities, offshore platforms, or shipyard construction.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, inspection processes and project quality requirements.
• Familiarity with welding inspection, NDT methods, classification society requirements, and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Management System implementation and maintenance aligned with ISO 9001.
• Coordinate QAQC activities and monitor KPIs, NCRs, and punch lists.
• Coordinate site, vendor, and subcontractor inspections to ITPs and client specs.
• Interface with clients, project teams, and inspectors for issue resolution.
• Coordinate audits and maintain quality records and handover docs.
• Guide QAQC inspectors and ensure calibration of inspection equipment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Management & Compliance Support the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements. Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, applicable codes, standards, and statutory regulations. Assist in developing, maintaining, and controlling quality procedures, inspection plans, and project quality documentation. Promote quality awareness and ensure effective communication of quality requirements across project teams.
• Quality Assurance & Control Coordination Coordinate QAQC activities during project execution to ensure compliance with approved quality plans and procedures. Monitor and track Quality KPIs, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, and punch list items, ensuring timely close-out. Support investigations into quality issues and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and maintain quality reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review.
• Inspection & Surveillance Coordinate site, vendor, and subcontractor inspections to ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), specifications, and client requirements. Manage inspection schedules and liaise with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and third-party inspectors. Coordinate and monitor Request for Inspection (RFI) activities and ensure timely submissions to clients and relevant authorities. Follow up on inspection findings, quality deficiencies, and non-conformances to ensure corrective actions are completed. Work closely with QAQC inspectors and discipline engineers to support inspection readiness and execution.
• Stakeholder Management Interface with clients, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and classification societies on quality-related matters. Support quality meetings, audits, inspections, and site visits. Facilitate effective communication and resolution of quality issues among project stakeholders.
• Audit & Documentation Control Coordinate internal, client, and third-party audits and monitor closure of audit findings. Maintain inspection dossiers, turnover packages, quality records, and project documentation. Ensure quality documentation is accurate, current, and readily available for audits, inspections, and project handover.
• Team & Project Support Provide guidance and support to QAQC inspectors and site personnel. Ensure inspection and measuring equipment are calibrated and fit for purpose. Review inspection results, identify recurring quality issues, and recommend improvements. Support quality resource planning to meet project execution requirements.

Requirements Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Welding, Materials, Marine, or other relevant disciplines) or equivalent.
• Experience Minimum 5 years of QAQC experience within offshore Oil & Gas, FPSO, Floating Production Facilities, Offshore Platforms, or Shipyard Construction projects. Experience supporting topside fabrication, module construction, commissioning, or offshore production facilities. Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), inspection processes, and project quality requirements. Familiarity with welding inspection, NDT methods, classification society requirements, and international codes and standards. Ability to coordinate inspections, manage quality documentation, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with contractors, vendors, clients, and third-party inspection agencies.
• Preferred Experience on FPSO, FPU, FLNG, or other floating production projects.
• Exposure to construction, fabrication, or offshore yard activities.
• Certification in QAQC, Welding Inspection, NDT, or Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
