Job summary

CPI (KL) Sdn Bhd is seeking a meticulous QC Inspector to perform daily dimensional and appearance inspections on plastic injection parts. You will document results, assist in maintaining CoCs, and support QA with nonconformances.

Must have a vocational/technical background, at least 1 year in plastics, and be skilled with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, height gauges, Smartscope, and CMM. Strong eyesight and reliability are essential in a fast-paced shop floor setting.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical background required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in plastic manufacturing or assembly.
• Proficient in using measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, pin gauge, height gauge, Smartscope, CMM).
• Must have sharp eyesight and colour vision within normal limits.
• Hardworking, responsible and able to follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first piece samples from PRM/PRS according to approved sample and timelines.
• Record inspection results on the CoC after measurement.
• Provide feedback to QA leader on nonconformances.
• Complete first piece label and submit with samples to QA leader.
• Collect one-shot samples from each machine run at 7:30 AM/PM daily.
• Conduct roll call and last shot inspections as arranged by QA leader.

JOB SUMMARY

Conduct daily inspection of product dimensions and appearance according to the Part Inspection Standard (PIS) and the inspection report.

KEY AREAS

IPQC, OQC, and Receiving Inspection activities covering dimensional, appearance, and testing inspections.

ESSENTIALS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for conducting inspections on the first piece samples submitted by PRM Technician and PRS leader, referencing the approved sample and adhering to the timeline specified in the first piece point justification table.
• Responsible for recording the first piece inspection results on the Certificate of Conformance (CoC) after measuring the inspection points.
• Responsible for providing feedback to the QA leader if nonconformances are discovered during the first piece inspection.
• Responsible for completing the first piece label with the necessary information and submitting the inspection results along with the first piece sample to the QA leader after the inspection process.
• Responsible for collecting a one-shot sample from every machine run at PRM at 7:30 AM/PM daily.
• Responsible for performing 'roll call' and last shot inspections for parts running at machines (PRM and PRS) as arranged by the QA Leader.
• Responsible for recording the 'roll call' and last shot inspection results on the Certificate of Conformance (CoC) after measuring the inspection points.
• Responsible for conducting a reliability test for parts after spray and printing running at PRS one hour after the manufacturing process and recording the results on the Certificate of Conformance.
• Responsible for informing the PRS leader of the test results to permit the continuation of mass production.
• Responsible for reporting any nonconformances found during the 'roll call' and last shot inspections to the QA leader.
• Responsible for stamping 'PASS' on every carton label for parts that meet quality standards after completing the inspection or before the end of the shift.
• Responsible for safeguarding all measurement equipment and tools (measuring apparatus), and reporting any abnormalities to the QA Leader.
• Attend the morning huddle meeting and quiz conducted by the QA leader to discuss quality issues and inspection planning.
• Attend the biweekly Ability, Skill, and Knowledge (A.S.K) training sessions conducted by the QA Supervisor.

REQUIRED

• Vocational or technical institution background
• Working experience (min 1 year) in plastic manufacturing or assembly process.
• Possess skill in using measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, pin gauge, height gauge, Smartscope, CMM and other equipment related to plastic injection moulding parts.
• Sharp eyesight (must not have colour blindness)
• Hardworking, responsible and can follow leader instruction
