Job summary

AMOS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a QHSE Senior Executive based in Tanjung Langsat, Johor. You will develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems to safeguard people and operations.

You will lead risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture through training and proactive incident investigation. This is a full-time, on-site role within the mining/resource energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (OHS, environmental management, or related).
• Minimum 5 years in a QHSE role, preferably in mining/resources/energy.
• Strong understanding of QHSE regulations, standards and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QHSE software tools.

Responsibilities

About the role

AMOS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Senior Executive to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, and is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and operations. As the QHSE Senior Executive, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental management systems that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

Developing, implementing, and continuously improving the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

Conducting regular risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate identified risks

Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to health, safety, and the environment

Providing training and support to employees on QHSE-related matters, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization

Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence

Liaising with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date with the latest QHSE requirements and best practices

Preparing and submitting QHSE reports, data, and analytics to senior management

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within the mining, resources, or energy industry

Strong understanding of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the industry

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and QHSE-related software tools

A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving
