Job summary

AMOS Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Operations Executive to coordinate daily execution across Production, Technical Services, Warehouse, Yard and Logistics. You will report to the Operations Manager and lead supervisors, maintaining visibility on orders, capacity, equipment, quality checks, and dispatch while driving cost control and compliance.

The role develops planning, people leadership, and IMS/ISO-aligned processes with potential progression to an Assistant Operations Manager role;

Responsibilities

  • Translate confirmed sales orders and priorities into daily and forward work plans with owners, milestones, manpower, materials, equipment and delivery dates.
  • Check job readiness with Production, Technical Services, Warehouse, Yard, QAQC and Logistics; identify capacity constraints, test bed availability and competing commitments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date workload and manpower tracker, including SG50–MY10 support needs; propose practical recovery plans when dates or resources are at risk.
  • Follow progress against agreed plans and coordinate handovers from receipt and production through inspection, certification, packing and dispatch.
  • Resolve routine operational blockers with process owners and escape changes to scope, customer commitments, technical acceptance or priority with facts and options.
  • Track on-time, in-full delivery and communicate credible status and recovery dates to the Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Run daily coordination and follow-up meetings; assign actions to the responsible supervisors and verify completion without displacing their ownership.
  • Review deployment, attendance, utilization and overtime needs; recommend support, cross-training or overtime with a documented operational reason and approval route.
  • Coach supervisors on reporting, problem solving, safe execution and accountability; work with HR and the Operations Manager on personnel matters.
  • Coordinate material readiness, stock accuracy, SAP movements, shipment documentation and transport with the Warehouse and Logistics process owners.
  • Support LMW records and import/export controls, including K1, K2 and K9 where applicable; ensure declarations, exemptions and supporting documents are checked by the responsible Logistics team and appointed agent before submission.
  • Investigate inventory or dispatch discrepancies promptly and ensure records are traceable for customer requirements and audits.
  • Reinforce safe work practices, 5S, risk assessments and permit or lifting controls with QHSE and supervisors; stop and elevate unsafe work.
  • Follow up inspection, certification, audit findings and corrective actions with QAQC, QHSE and Technical Services to prevent release before required checks are complete.
  • Maintain operational records in line with applicable company procedures and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.
  • Monitor labour utilization, overtime, rework, wastage and operational costs; investigate variances and recommend action to the Operations Manager.
  • Provide evidence for manpower plans, equipment requests, forecasts and budget reviews; obtain the required approvals before committing expenditure.
  • Lead practical root-cause reviews and track agreed improvements to throughput, delivery, inventory accuracy and safe working.
  • Coordinate across Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, QAQC, QHSE and SG50 so priorities, constraints and ownership are clear.
  • Prepare accurate daily and weekly reports on workload, manpower, output, delivery, safety issues, cost drivers and open actions for management review.
  • Raise material risks early with the impact, actions taken, options and recommended decision; keep the decision and follow- up traceable.
  • When authorized by the Operations Manager, lead the daily operational rhythm and coordinate supervisors during absence or peak demand.
  • Apply only documented delegated authority; refer budget approvals, contracts, statutory declarations, technical sign-off and material customer commitments to the designated approver.
  • Undertake other related operational duties assigned by the Operations Manager, consistent with competence, training and safe working requirements.

Job description

The Senior Operations Executive coordinates daily execution across Production, Technical Services, Warehouse, Yard and Logistics for AMOS Malaysia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role leads through supervisors, maintains a reliable view of orders, capacity, equipment, quality checkpoints and dispatch, and resolves or escalates delivery risks early. The position develops the planning, people leadership, compliance and cost control capability required for potential progression to an Assistant Operations Manager role. Decisions remain within assigned authority and company approval procedures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Integrated Operations Planning
