Job summary

TPP (Northern) Sdn Bhd in Sungai Petani, Kedah, seeks a dedicated QESH lead to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety and health regulations. You will oversee ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 requirements, manage air pollution control systems and wastewater treatment, and liaise with authorities to meet DOE standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring plant performance, maintaining documentation, conducting training, and reporting on environmental performance to management.

Qualifications

Job description

This role involves ensuring compliance with all quality, environmental, safety and health (QESH) regulations and keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. You will lead the site's effort to identify and manage significant environmental aspects, manage and operate air pollution control systems and wastewater treatment plants, and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 requirements.

General:

• Ensures compliance with all quality, environmental, safety and health (QESH) regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Liaising with relevant authorities.
• Writing reports, bulletins, and newsletters.
• Write internal QESH policies/strategies.
• Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.
• Provide QESH meetings and training courses for employees.
• To maintain and update the relevant requirement for ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
• Lead the site's effort to identify and manage significant environmental aspects.
• To manage and operate air pollution control system.
• To monitor air pollution control system to meet DOE standard requirement.
• Assist in implementation of sound and effective scheduled waste management practices.
• To manage and operate wastewater treatment plant.
• To monitor wastewater treatment plant final discharge water and air pollution control system to meet DOE standard requirement.
• Conduct analysis for water sample.
• To liaise with DOE for licensing and compliance issue.
• Work closely with DOE for all the new requirement update.
• Record all findings for reference and reporting purposes.
• Prepare monthly performance monitoring report as DOE required.
• Conduct inspection for all the wastewater treatment plant, air pollution control system and equipment.
• Prepare maintenance report and ensure that all the equipment maintained in good order.
• Perform purchase order for daily consumption chemical to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain stock record of chemical and other materials for wastewater treatment.
• Provide training to the WWTP and air pollution control system personnel.
• Monitor and manage solid waste generated at the premise wisely.
• Any other duties which may assigned by superior.
