Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a role focused on managing the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Scheduled Waste Management System to ensure operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in line with DOE Malaysia requirements and ISO 14001 standards.

Key duties include monitoring effluent quality, maintaining records, coordinating corrective actions and ensuring proper operation of WWTP and STP equipment, while handling scheduled

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOE Malaysia requirements, Environmental Quality Act 1974, Industrial Effluent Regulations, Sewage Regulations and Scheduled Wastes Regulations
• Understanding of ISO 14001 standards
• Ability to monitor environmental parameters and treatment performance
• Experience with waste classification, labelling, packaging and segregation
• Capability to investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions

Responsibilities

• Monitor WWTP operation and treated effluent quality
• Ensure compliance with applicable industrial effluent discharge standards
• Monitor pH, COD, BOD, TSS, oil & grease, flow and other relevant parameters
• Troubleshoot treatment abnormalities and coordinate corrective actions
• Manage WWTP chemicals, sludge and environmental records
• Monitor STP performance and sewage treatment efficiency
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of STP equipment
• Manage scheduled waste from generation until storage, collection and disposal
• Maintain environmental legal and compliance registers
• Coordinate DOE inspections, environmental monitoring and regulatory submissions

Job description

To manage and ensure the effective operation, environmental compliance and continual improvement of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Scheduled Waste Management System, in accordance with applicable DOE Malaysia requirements, Environmental Quality Act 1974, Industrial Effluent Regulations, Sewage Regulations, Scheduled Wastes Regulations, ISO 14001 and company environmental standards.
