Job summary

IAC Infrastructure Sdn Bhd – Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality across civil, electrical and mechanical works on infrastructure projects. You will implement, monitor, and enforce project quality plans, inspections, and documentation.

The role requires a Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering and about 1 year of QA/QC experience on large projects. Travel to other sites may be required; NTSP is an added advantage and strong reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering required.
• 1 year of QA/QC Engineer experience in large infrastructure projects preferred.
• NTSP holder is an added advantage.
• Experience in TNB projects is desirable.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Good report writing skills required.
• Willing to travel to other site projects if needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality control procedures throughout the project.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all construction and installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents prior to commencement of works.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on all quality-related matters.
• Monitor civil, electrical, and mechanical works including foundations, battery container installation, cable works, electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Verify materials, equipment, and components delivered to site comply with approved specifications, certificates, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and witness testing activities to ensure compliance with project quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage quality documentation including IR, MIR, ITR, NCR, CAR, test reports, and as-built documentation.
• Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure adherence to approved statements and procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspections, audits, and testing activities.
• Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for handover.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Assist in the preparation of project quality dossiers and handover documentation.
• Work with HSE to ensure safety in quality activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Superior.

• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure all works are carried out according to approved method statements, drawings, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspections, audits, and testing activities.
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for project handover.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Assist in the preparation of project quality dossiers, completion records, and handover documentation.
• Work closely with the HSE team to ensure quality activities are carried out safely and in compliance with project requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or its related field.
• Have 1 year of experience as QA/QC Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects.
• NTSP holder is an added advantage.
• Have any experience in TNB projects.
• Have good communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Have good report writing skills.
• Willing to travel to other site projects if required.
