Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan across civil, electrical, and mechanical works on site. You will review documents, coordinate with all stakeholders, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards.

The role requires a diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering, at least 1 year of QA/QC experience on large infrastructure projects, and strong communication and report-writing skills. Travel to site projects will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of experience as QA/QC Engineer in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• NTSP holder is an added advantage.
• Experience in TNB projects is a plus.
• Good communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality control procedures throughout the project.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure construction and installation works comply with drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents before works commence.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality matters.
• Monitor civil, electrical, and mechanical works including foundations, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Verify materials, equipment, and components delivered meet approved specs and project requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage quality documentation (IR, MIR, ITR, NCR, CAR, test reports, as-built docs).
• Identify quality issues and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure works follow approved statements and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspections, audits, and testing.
• Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality docs for handover.
• Support internal and external quality audits and close audit findings timely.
• Assist in preparing project quality dossiers, completion records, and handover docs.
• Work with HSE team to ensure quality activities are safe and compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Verify materials, equipment, and components delivered to site comply with approved specifications, certificates, and project requirements.

Conduct inspections and witness testing activities to ensure compliance with project quality standards and inspection requirements.

Prepare, maintain, and manage quality documentation including Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection & Test Records (ITR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), test reports, and as-built documentation.

Identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.

Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure all works are carried out according to approved method statements, drawings, and quality procedures.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspections, audits, and testing activities.

Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for project handover.

Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

Assist in the preparation of project quality dossiers, completion records, and handover documentation.

Work closely with the HSE team to ensure quality activities are carried out safely and in compliance with project requirements.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or its related field.

Have 1 year of experience as QA/QC Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects.

NTSP holder is an added advantage.

Have any experience in TNB projects.

Have good communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Have good report writing skills.

Willing to travel to other site projects if required.
