Job summary

United Malayan Flour Group of Companies in Butterworth, Penang, seeks a Quality Control Assistant to perform daily lab testing and ensure results meet internal specs. You will prepare additives, verify weights, log results, and maintain a clean lab as part of a rotating shift schedule.

The role supports production, with opportunities for promotion and a program of performance-based bonuses. A basic qualification package is required, with an emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• SPM, professional certificate or diploma in any field.
• 0–2 years of QC experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy and basic math calculations.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster arranged by direct superior.
• Conduct tests according to standard methods in Lab Manual.
• Inform superior and production personnel when results are out of specification.
• Prepare additives as per Additive Request / Preparation Form.
• Verify weights of additives before preparation and label bags.
• Update additive stock card after preparation.
• Enter test results into the online QC system at shift end.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and tidiness.

Job description

1. Perform daily lab testing as per duty roster arrange by direct superior.

2. Perform lab testing according to the standard method written in Lab Manual.

3. Ensure the lab testing result is within the internal specification and immediately inform

direct superior and production personnel when the testing result is out of specification.

4. Prepare the additives used for production as per < Additive Request / Preparation Form >.

5. Make sure the weight of individual additive is correct before preparation and label the

plastic bag accordingly.

6. Update the additive stock card after preparation of additive.

7. Correctly key in the testing result to online QC system at the end of the shift.

8. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and tidiness.

Job Requirement :-

SPM, Professional certificate, Diploma in any field

0 - 2 years of experience in QC role will be an added advantage

Basic computer literacy, basis mathematic calculation

Willing to work shift

Team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision
