Job summary

Kejuruteraan Powerwell is seeking a service technician to perform on-site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of switchboard systems. The role requires deep understanding of electrical switchboard components, safety protocols, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on site in Malaysia.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of relevant experience or is a fresh graduate in electrical engineering, with willingness to travel to customer sites and operate independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering diploma or equivalent, with competence in electrical systems such as Chargeman and Wireman.
• 1 year experience as a service technician, electrical technician, or similar role in electrical industry.
• Fresh grad in electrical background welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, test, commission, and troubleshoot switchboard systems on site to meet performance and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose issues and implement modifications.
• Address punchlist items with service & project engineers to meet project deadlines.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitored and managed by the QAQC & service engineer.
• Perform on site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of switchboard system to ensure they meet performance and safety standard.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose technical issue, implementing modifications and improvements as necessary.
• Work closely with service & project engineers to address punchlist item, ensuring prompt and accurate rectification to meet project completion deadline.
• Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance to identify potential problem and address them proactively.
• Work with service engineer to Document all activities, including test result, modification, repairs, and punchlist rectification, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with cross functionals teams to identify root causes of issues and contribute to continuous product and process improvement.
• Assist Service engineer in training customers and junior technician on the operation, maintenance, and punchlist rectification procedure for switchboard system.
• Others duties and task given by management from time to time.
• Report to QAQC & SERVICE HOD.
• Monitored and manage by the QAQC supervisor
• Work with QAQC supervisor to increase the job knowledge for new technology of switchgear from time to time.
• To help QAQC team on factory routine job.
• Other duties and task given by management from time to time

Requirements

• Electrical engineering diploma or equivalent; technical competency in electrical background such as Chargeman and wireman
• 1 year experience as a service technician, electrical technician, or similar role in the electrical industry
• Fresh grad in electrical background is welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding on electrical switchboard components and relevant safety protocol will be added as an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skill with keen attention to detail
• Able to work independently or as a part of team in fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites as needed
• Valid driving license and clean driving record.
