Job summary

SINOVEST INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD is seeking a versatile Field Service & QC Technician to support our warehouse facilities, travel to customer sites, and perform quality control tests on products and equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, can troubleshoot on the road, and will split time between field service, warehouse maintenance, and QC testing. Relevant diploma and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical/Industrial maintenance diploma or certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of electrical, maintenance or field service experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and motor controls.
• Experience with testing equipment such as multimeters and clamp meters.
• Able to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and communicate with customers and team members.
• Valid Driver's License, willing to travel, overtime when required.
• Comfortable in warehouse, outdoor and mechanical environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in control panels, motors, conveyors and other industrial systems in the field.
• Communicate professionally with customers about issues and work performed.
• Submit detailed field service reports with work orders, parts used and time spent.
• Maintain warehouse infrastructure: lighting, electrical panels, dock levelers, doors, conveyors.
• Perform electrical testing on materials, products and equipment at sites.
• Operate and calibrate testing instruments (multimeters, megohmmeters, thermal imagers).
• Ensure products meet specifications and safety standards before approval.

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and hands‑on Field Service & QC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will split your time between maintaining our warehouse facilities, traveling to customer or field sites, and performing quality control testing on products and equipment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong electrical knowledge, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to troubleshoot problems independently while on the road.

Key responsibilities

1. On‑Site / Field Service (20%)

• Travel to customer locations, job sites, or satellite facilities to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

• Diagnose malfunctions in control panels, motors, conveyors, and other industrial systems directly in the field.

• Communicate professionally with customers, explaining technical issues and the work performed.

• Prepare and submit detailed field service reports documenting work orders, parts used, and time spent.

2. Warehouse Maintenance (25%)

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse infrastructure, including lighting, electrical panels, dock levelers, doors, and conveyor systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits ranging from 120V to 480V.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.

• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA and NFPA 70E standards, including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash safety.

3. Quality Control (QC) Testing (55%)

• Conduct inspections and electrical tests on incoming materials, outgoing products, and equipment both in the warehouse and at field locations.

• Document test results, record non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality logs.

• Operate and calibrate testing instruments such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and thermal imagers.

• Verify that products meet technical specifications and safety standards before approval.

Job Requirement

• Diploma or equivalent required.

• Technical diploma, certificate, or Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of relevant electrical, maintenance, or field service experience.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and motor controls.

• Experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and clamp meters.

• Able to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
