Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites a dedicated technician to join the testing team responsible for LV switchgear verification and commissioning. You will study wiring diagrams and follow documented procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Min diploma or above in Electrical or Mechanical.
• 1+ year LV switchgear experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend line diagrams, schematics and switchboard drawings before testing.
• Conduct routine verification on switchboards per procedures and IEC 61439-1/2.
• Program and commission LV components per user manuals or work instructions.
• Perform dielectric, insulation, primary and secondary injection, and functional tests.
• Verify test results meet specifications and customer intent.
• Repeat verification to ensure outputs meet requirements before finish Goods.
• Collect data and record results in designated forms.
• Report any incompliances to engineers and managers.
• Liaise with production and design teams for rectification work.
• Ensure all issues are resolved and systems function before declaration.

1. Comprehend the single line diagram, schematic diagram and switchboard assembly drawing before conduct the function test

2. Conduct routine verification on switchboard according to procedure and standard (IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2)

3. Perform programming and commissioning for various LV components such as Breaker, Power Monitoring Device, Protection Relay and Communication Device based on ‘user manual’ or work instruction provided.

4. Perform complete test on the switchboard such as dielectric test, insulation test, primary and secondary injection test, and functional test

5. Verify and ensure the testing results meet the required specification and logic output intended by customer

7. Collect data and record all testing results in designated forms

8. Report all the incompliances during testing to engineer and manager

9. Responsible person to liaise with production and design team for rectification work

10. Ensure all issues are rectified and all systems are functioning before Finish Goods declaration

• Above 1-year Low voltage switchgear experience will be added advantage
