Job summary

Integer Engineering Sdn Bhd – Pasir Gudang, Johor seeks a senior QC professional to lead quality assurance on site. You will oversee quality procedures, plan QC activities and supervise related tasks across projects.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7–10 years’ experience, strong ISO/QMS knowledge, and proven leadership and problem‑solving abilities to drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in quality control.
• Strong knowledge of ISO procedures and QMS.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality procedures and execution, quality planning and supervision.
• Work with management to establish QMS procedures.
• Liaise with clients for quality-related activities.
• Comply with company Vision, Mission, Quality, Health Safety and Environment policies.
• Promote QHSE culture through meetings, trainings and audits on site.
• Supervise Quality Control functions/activities and inspection schedules.
• Support Operations Manager in client quality matters.
• Assess implementation of Quality Plans and Quality Control Plans on site.
• Allocate Quality Control personnel to site areas.
• Supervise inspection reports and documentation; collect and file Quality Records.
• Evaluate welders and NDT personnel qualifications; inspect personnel qualifications.
• Support subcontractor management and audits.
• Participate in internal/external audits; coordinate material tracking systems.
• Supervise calibration management and welding/NDt qualification activities.
• Issue Welding Procedures (WP) and assist PQE with non-conformities.
• Supervise defect renewal and welding inspections.

B. JOB SKILLS REQUIRED

• Diploma/Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or related industries with 7-10 years relevant experience.
• In depth understanding of quality procedures and code requirements, technical problem solving, understanding of ISO procedures and company QMS systems, interpersonal & leadership skills.

C. RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for overall job quality procedures and execution, quality planning and quality supervision
• Work closely with management to establish QMS procedures and other relevant quality procedures.
• Responsible to liaise with clients for quality related activities
• Comply with company Vision, Mission, Quality, Health Safety and Environment policies.
• Promotes QHSE culture through contributing in meetings, trainings and audits in Company

D. DUTY

• Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
• Supports the Operations Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
• Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
• Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity.
• Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records.
• Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non-Destructive Test-NDT technicians with regard to the activities assigned.
• Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel.
• Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.
• Supports and participate to all the internal/external audits.
• Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials.
• Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.
• Supports the Welding & Non-Destructive Test-NDT qualification activities.
• Cooperates to issue the Welding Procedures (WP).
• Cooperate with the Project Quality Engineer (PQE) to analyses of non-conformities.
• Supervises inspection of defect renewal and welding.

E. AUTHORITY

• To authorize changes in quality manuals, systems and quality procedures in accordance with latest changes in codes and client requirements.
