Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control/QA Engineer to implement and monitor quality plans, inspect materials and workmanship, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

The role requires hands-on experience with ITPs, NCRs, and quality documentation, plus strong analytical and communication skills. A CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent is an advantage. Competitive salary, medical coverage, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Inspection or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within engineering, oil & gas, mechanical, piping, structural steel, or electrical works.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Familiarity with ITPs, WIRs, NCRs, CARs, and quality documentation.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of welding inspection, NDT, or relevant quality standards is preferred.
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification or equivalent qualifications will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and quality records.
• Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
• Raise, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor calibration status of measuring and testing equipment.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
