Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior QA/QA Supervisor to lead a team of QA technicians and operators for daily inspection tasks on metal fabrication. Responsibilities include efficiency monitoring, resource planning, and ensuring adherence to ISO guidelines on site.

You will collaborate with QA engineers to define inspection flows, review reports, and support KPI compilation while maintaining Lean housekeeping and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum certificate/diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing or 5~8 years hands-on experience.
• 5–8 years hands-on quality inspection experience in fabrication of metal works.
• Senior QA technician or supervisor with staff and resources management.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, welding requirements; able to prepare inspection documents.
• Proficient with measuring tools and data analysis for quality control.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily job arrangements, allocate resources and manage capacity.
• Cover in-process and outgoing inspections on site.

• Assist QA Engineer with quality data for KPI reporting.

• 1. Report to QA Engineer/Senior QA Engineer.
• 2. To lead the team consist of QA technicians and QA operators to carry out the daily inspection jobs.
• 3. Daily quality inspection output efficiency monitoring and improvement.
• 4. Daily job arrangement, resources allocation, utilization and capacity planning.
• 5. Coverage area include in-process and out-going inspection (Follow site).
• 6. Work with QA engineer to define the inspection flows and inspection instruction.
• 7. To review and verify the report submitted by subordinates.
• 8. Verification on the issue feedback by QA operator or technician.
• 9. Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure cleanliness of the working area.
• 10. Assist QA Engineer on quality data for the weekly and monthly KPI compilation or support for any investigation and study.
• 11. To define QA technicians and QA operator's skills matrix then performs training needs analysis.
• 12. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
• 13. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
• 14. Other duties and assignments as appointed by superior (QA engineer, section manager or department manager).

Requirements

• 1. Minimum certificate/diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing or 5~8 years hands-on experience.
• 2.Minimum of 5~8 years working experience in hands-on quality inspection of fabrication on Metal Works.
• 3.Senior QA technician role or Supervisor role.Handle quality control staff & resources management. Communicate well with process owner or even sub-con. Good understanding of production quality control.
• 4.Good understanding on mechanical drawing, tolerance, welding requirements, in-process quality assurance. Able to establish general inspection documents. Plan for future project needs thru project review. Able to operate measuring tools such measuring tape, portable CMM/scanner & multimeter. Good data compilation and analysis skills.
