Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QC Inspector to lead welding and quality checks across all ongoing projects, from incoming materials through final testing.

You will interpret fabrication drawings, solve quality issues, prepare MDRs, and coordinate with customer inspectors and external NDE providers as required. Strong communication with production teams is essential to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of Quality Control experience in metal fabrication.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and ASME code standards of Pressure Vessel.
• Able to interpret welding types and perform welding visual inspection.
• CSWIP 3.0 qualification is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC and welding inspections across all project stages from incoming material to testing and completion.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and provide quality problem solving to production teams.
• Prepare Manufacturing Data Reports (MDR) for all projects.
• Liaise with customer inspectors and in-house inspectors for inspections and testing.
• Coordinate NDE test arrangements with external NDE service providers when required.
• Address and close customer or external inspector punch lists promptly.
• Maintain proactive communication with the production team to drive quality improvements.
• Maintain good communication within the team across the group.

Job description

Perform all quality and welding inspection on all products for all on going projects start from incoming material inspection until testing and projects completion.

Interpreting fabrication drawings and quality problem solving for production team as and when required.

QC documents and report preparation for all projects Manufacturing Data Report (MDR) compilation.

Liaise with customer inspector and / or external inspector for in house inspection and testing.

Liaise with NDE service provider for NDE test arrangement whenever is required.

Handle and rectify any customer and / or external inspector punch list and ensure it been closed on time.

Active communication with production team on quality improvement.

Maintain good communication with team member within the group all the time.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechnaical Engineering or Welding Engineering or any related field.
• At least 2 to 3 years of Quality Control experience in any metal fabrication field.
• Highly self-motivated, willing to learn, initiative & able to work independently and fast-paced work environment.
• Understand and able to interprete engineering drawings and ASME code standard of Pressure Vessel.
• Must be able to interprete type of welding and able to perform welding visual inspection.
• Qualification of CSWIP 3.0 will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Excel & Word.
