Job summary

Madam Kwan's Restaurant is seeking an experienced Quality Program Manager to oversee food safety and quality systems across all outlets. You will monitor HACCP/HALAL compliance, lead a dedicated QA team, and drive continual improvements in product quality and regulatory readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with operations, regulatory bodies, and supplier QA to ensure consistent standards and successful audits. A strong background in QA for Malaysian cuisine is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in implementing and maintaining QA programs in a food service environment.
• Familiarity with HACCP, HALAL standards and quality evaluation checklists.
• Proven ability to lead a cross-functional quality/food safety team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update quality and food safety programs to comply with company and regulatory standards.
• Implement and manage QA systems, identify gaps, analyze issues, and make recommendations.
• Ensure the Quality Management System is understood, implemented, and maintained and report improvements to management.
• Lead the Food Safety/Quality Team across all outlets, including new openings and franchises.
• Plan and introduce internal programs to improve product quality.
• Analyze quality control test results and communicate findings; ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Review quality documentation for regulatory submissions and audits; follow up with action plans.
• Resolve hazards, policies, objectives, audits, and feedback within set timeframes.
• Ensure cleaning SOPs are followed and maintained.
• Educate employees on QA standards and procedures to ensure compliance and high performance.
• Coordinate with departments and regulators for QA matters.
• Set and track performance metrics to assess QA program effectiveness.
• Stay updated with trends to maintain continuous improvement in QA processes.
• Perform other tasks to support company objectives.

Job description

Quality Program Management: Monitor and update quality and food safety programs (HACCP, HALAL, Quality Evaluation Checklist, and Food Safety procedures) to comply with company and regulatory standards.

Issue Resolution: Ensure hazards, policies, objectives, targets, audit results, and feedback/complaints are resolved within given timeframes.

Cleaning schedule: Ensuring all SOP on cleaning is on target

Training and Development: Educate employees on quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure compliance and high performance.

Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate efficiently with other departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies for quality assurance related matters.

Performance Metrics: Set and track performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of quality assurance programs.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and standards to maintain a continuous improvement mindset within the quality assurance processes.

Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by management to assist in meeting company objectives.
