Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, and QC procedures across the project. You will conduct inspections, review method statements and drawings, coordinate with project teams, and ensure all works meet approved specs and contractual requirements.

The role requires a diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering, 1 year of QA/QC experience on large infrastructure projects, good reporting and communication skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of QA/QC Engineer experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing skills.
• Willing to travel to other site projects.
• NTSP holder is an added advantage.
• Experience in TNB projects is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality control procedures throughout the project
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all construction and installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents prior to commencement of works
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on all quality-related matters
• Monitor civil, electrical, and mechanical works including equipment foundations, battery container installation, cable works, electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Verify materials, equipment, and components delivered to site comply with approved specifications, certificates, and project requirements
• Prepare, maintain, and manage quality documentation including Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection & Test Records (ITR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), test reports, and as-built documentation
• Identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively
• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure all works are carried out according to approved method statements, drawings, and quality procedures
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for project handover
