Job summary

Grand Built Construction Company in Shah Alam is seeking a QA/QC Lead to oversee and coordinate quality assurance on civil, structural and architectural works. The role emphasizes implementing the Project Quality Plan, conducting site inspections and ensuring documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

The candidate should have a Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least 5 years in QA/QC on construction projects, and strong communication and coordination

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor daily QAQC activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, codes and standards.
• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections and quality surveillance for Civil, Structural and Architectural works.
• Coordinate inspections with Clients, Consultants, Engineers and relevant stakeholders.
• Review and maintain QAQC documentation, including inspection records, test reports, material approvals, NCRs and handover records.
• Verify materials delivered to site meet project requirements and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Monitor workmanship quality, inspection procedures, hold points and testing activities.
• Identify quality issues, defects and non-conformances; coordinate corrective actions and ensure proper close-out.
• Raise, track and close NCRs, site observations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Supervise QAQC personnel and provide guidance on inspection activities.
• Prepare QAQC reports, quality updates and maintain project quality records.
• Support project handover by ensuring complete and accurate quality documentation.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to promote quality compliance and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QAQC experience in construction projects.
• Knowledge of PQP, ITP, method statements, specifications and construction standards.
• Experienced in site inspection, quality control, NCR management and quality documentation.
• Familiar with Civil, Structural and Architectural works.
• Good understanding of testing procedures, material approvals and workmanship requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
