Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Civil QA/QC Engineer to develop and implement QA/QC procedures for construction projects in Port Klang. You will prepare inspection and test plans, review quality control documentation, and ensure compliance with codes and project specs.

The role involves conducting inspections, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement through audits and NCR closure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Min 2-3 years of experience in construction quality assurance and quality control.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA/QC certifications helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and plans for construction projects.
• Prepare and review QA documentation including ITPs, method statements, and QC plans.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials and works to meet specifications and standards.
• Oversee third-party testing and inspection services.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and related activities.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials, processes, or workmanship and implement corrective actions.
• Track and close non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to meet QA/QC requirements.
• Communicate QA/QC requirements to stakeholders and provide training to staff.

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and plans for construction projects.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests on construction materials, processes, and completed works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Oversee third-party testing and inspection services.
• Maintain records of all inspections, tests, and related activities.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials, processes, or workmanship.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to address non-conformities.
• Track and ensure closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Communicate QA/QC requirements and procedures to all project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide QA/QC updates.
• Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Promote a quality culture within the project team and among subcontractors.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
• Participate in external audits conducted by clients or regulatory bodies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and audit findings.
• Prepare and submit regular QA/QC reports to project management and clients.

Requirement:-

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Min 2-3 years of experience in construction quality assurance and quality control.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or other QA/QC certifications.
• Knowledge of construction standards and codes, and familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Remuneration will be compensated according to experience and qualification.
