Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a seasoned QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance Department in a plastics manufacturing setting with mandatory pharma exposure. You will oversee ISO and GMP procedures, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities include auditing, CAPA, customer liaison, and development of QA systems. Leadership and strong analytical skills are essential to manage a team and deliver quality across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any field.
• 7-8 years of QA experience in plastic manufacturing, pharma exposure mandatory.
• Experience with ISO 9001/GMP/HACCP/ISO 22000 is advantageous.
• Familiar with plastic packaging products and injection molding.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for directing and training staff.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literate and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall QA Department operations for smooth performance.
• Manage quality functions for manufacturing and ensure ISO procedures are implemented.
• Propose and implement continuous improvement plans to boost productivity and quality.
• Create quality systems and procedures for compliance with national/international standards.
• Liaise with customer auditors and ensure corrective actions and compliance with specs.
• Handle customer complaints and manage customer audits.
• Communicate QA criteria and checklists with customers and departments.
• Involve in new product development and CAPA with manufacturing.
• Establish quality review criteria and staff performance metrics.
• Identify training needs and arrange internal/external staff development.
• Prepare monthly and yearly QA performance reports.

Job description

• Responsible for overall Quality Assurance Department smooth operations.


• Responsible for the quality functions for the entire manufacturing operations and the implementation of ISO and quality procedure.


• Propose, initiate and implement continuous improvement plan or activities to improve productivity and overall quality assurance.


• Create quality systems and procedures for continuous improvement and compliance to national and international standard regulatory requirements.


• Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.


• Handle customer complaints.


• Manage customer audits and external body audits.


• Communicate with customers and QA department regarding setting up of checking criteria for products.


• Involve in new product development, corrective and preventive action with manufacturing department.


• Establish criteria for quality review and staff performance review.


• Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and facilitate either internal or external training for staff development when necessary.


• Prepare monthly and yearly report with regards to Quality Assurance Department performance (i.e. customer complaint report).

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in any studies


• Minimum 7-8 years experience in QA department of plastic manufacturing, with experience in Pharmaceutical is a mandatory.


• Experience in ISO 9001/GMP/HACCP/ISO 22000 will be an added advantage.


• Familiar with plastic packaging products and injection molding processes is an added advantage.


• Leadership style and interpersonal skills suitable for directing, training and motivating subordinate staff.


• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.


• Computer literate and able to work under pressure.
