Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kulai, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to manage their quality management system. In this role, you will oversee ISO compliance, conduct training, and perform internal audits. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in the QA/QC field, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. Knowledge of ISO procedures and plastic injection molding is required. This is a full-time position in a dynamic work environment.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Act as Management representative ensuring the suitability of the current QMS in the organization. Review quality procedures to ensure close‑looped activities.
2. Conduct ISO meetings.
3. Co‑ordination with certificate bodies for follow‑up and next assessment.
4. Provide training of ISO procedures to inspectors, staff, new employees and relevant personnel.
5. Perform internal auditing related to ISO system requirements.
6. Ensure and maintain cohesive working relations with inter‑department, customers & vendors.
7. Verify and ensure process documentation compliance; Work Instruction, Quality Inspection Plan, Injection Data Sheet & Inspection Records.
8. Lead and guide inspectors in ensuring work compliance.
9. Respond to resolution of process non‑conformance.
10. Manage all staff under Quality Assurance function of the organization.
11. Work closely with the production function to ensure manufacturing of plastic parts and secondary process operations meet quality requirements continually.

Job Requirements

6. Confidence in giving presentations to customers.
7. Strong understanding of 8D methodology reporting.
8. Fundamental knowledge of controlling all ISO documentation.
9. Understanding & knowledge of plastic injection molding process.
10. Knowledgeable in using mechanical measuring equipment.
11. Ability to understand and read 2D/3D drawing.
12. Knowledgeable and able to apply statistical process control techniques.
13. Understand First Article Process and Reports.
14. Must be able to travel and meet customers and suppliers.
15. Computer literate.
