Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented QA & Halal Executive to maintain our Quality Assurance and Halal compliance systems, ensuring products, processes, and documentation meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.

The role covers Halal documentation, supplier and material verification, audits, GMP and hygiene practices, and training. You will coordinate with authorities and contribute to ongoing quality improvements within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA and Halal compliance environments.
• Ability to prepare and maintain QA documentation and SOPs.
• Experience coordinating Halal and quality audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Halal Assurance System and related documentation.
• Handle Halal certification applications and renewals.
• Ensure materials and products meet Halal requirements.
• Prepare QA documentation, SOPs and quality reports.
• Conduct routine quality checks and monitor compliance with standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits including Halal and quality audits.
• Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Monitor materials and production processes for quality.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene and food/product safety procedures.
• Provide Halal, hygiene and quality training for employees.
• Liaise with authorities and suppliers on QA/Halal matters.
• Assist in continuous improvement of QA and Halal management system.
• Perform other QA, regulatory or Halal duties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's Quality Assurance and Halal compliance systems, ensuring that products, processes, documentation and operations comply with internal standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's Halal Assurance System and Halal-related documentation.
• Handle Halal certification applications, renewals and relevant documentation with the appropriate authorities.
• Ensure raw materials, ingredients, suppliers and products comply with Halal requirements.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, SOPs, records and quality-related reports.
• Conduct routine quality checks and monitor compliance with company quality standards.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, including Halal and quality audits.
• Follow up on audit findings, non-conformities and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor incoming materials, production/process activities and finished products where applicable.
• Ensure proper implementation of GMP, hygiene, food/product safety and quality procedures.
• Conduct or coordinate Halal, hygiene and quality awareness training for employees.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, certification bodies, suppliers and other departments on QA and Halal matters.
• Assist Management in continuously improving the company's Quality and Halal Management System.
• Perform any other QA, regulatory or Halal-related duties assigned by Management.
