Job summary

IMR (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks a dedicated Quality Assurance professional with 5+ years of experience in automotive-related manufacturing to lead IQA/IPQA/OQA activities, manage nonconformances, and drive continuous improvement across processes.

You will collaborate with project teams, communicate with customers, and ensure products meet strict specifications through robust quality systems and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• At least Diploma / Degree or equivalent in related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality roles in manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Malay and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Lead IQA/IPQA/OQA activities and daily quality checks.
• Coordinate with Project team to ensure consistent project execution.
• Investigate nonconformances and drive corrective actions with 8D methods.
• Prepare quality reports and present metrics to senior management.

Job description

1) Experience in ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, VDA 6.3 process audit, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 & any others International Standard

2) Basic knowledge on Plastic Injection Molding Process & Secondary Process (Automotive industries)

3) Collaborate with the Project team to ensure consistent project execution.

4) Able to communicate with customer.

5) Able to lead and resolve all customer complaints with minimum supervision.

6) Identify key KPIs for product quality; Prepare and present quality reports metrics to Senior Management & Management review.

7) Lead quality team complete daily and monthly IQA, IPQA, OQA task, ensure goods are inspected on time.

a) Prepare Quality WI and train QC the correct method to inspect the production parts.

b)Organize Production Quality Control team for daily routine job.

c)Establish and review all quality control checks in the conversion of raw materials to finished goods.

d ) Test current products and identifying deficiency.

8) Ensure that non-conforming project activities including potential nonconformance are identified and resolved through approved quality procedures.

a)Able to carry out risk assessment.

b)To investigate CAR customer complaints, non-conformance issues arise, SCAR implementation, effectiveness and closure.

c)To develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions

d)Lead customer 8D principles and application, Ishikawa Diagram and 3 x 5 Whys.

e)Knowledge in Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plan and Work Instruction

f)Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation.

g)To perform internal & external site sorting when there’s quality issues found.

h) Drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier.

9) Handle and verify any non-conforming product and lead the MRB for disposition.

10) Calibration of equipment, jigs & tools

a)Monitor the schedule of calibration.

b)Ensure the relevant parties are using the calibrated equipment, jig & tool and keep it properly.

11) ISO Documentation and Audit Process

a) Responsible internal and external Audit, such as Customer audit, ISO audit, etc.

b)Review and update relevant quality system procedures and work instructions.

c) To evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.

12) Chemical Substances Management

a) Consolidate the relevant information and documents, ie. ROHS report, ICP report, SOC report of the materials.

b)Submission of relevant report to the customer.

13) Ensures that all manufacturing materials and finished products meet the prescribed specifications before release by close monitoring of results and advising on the corrective action to be taken in case of deviations.

14) Promote quality awareness and commitment to quality across the company and ensure all employees follow the quality requirements.

15) Supporting scrap and rework activity in the shop floor.

16) Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree or any relevant fields.

At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Skill requirements: Expert in Power point and Excel, a sharp eye for detail and a results-driven approach.

Good verbal and written communication skills - English, Malay and Mandarin (must)
