Job summary

Racer Technology Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor to lead the Quality Assurance function. You will ensure the suitability of the QMS, review quality procedures, conduct ISO meetings, and coordinate with certificate bodies.

You will train inspectors and staff on ISO procedures, perform internal audits, lead the 8D methodology, read 2D/3D drawings, control documentation, and collaborate with production to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of ISO procedures and QMS.
• Experience with 8D methodology and problem-solving.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and interpret SPC data.
• Proficient with basic computer software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suitability of the current QMS and review quality procedures.
• Conduct ISO meetings and coordinate with certificate bodies.
• Provide ISO procedures training to inspectors, staff and new employees.
• Perform internal audits related to ISO system requirements.
• Lead inspectors to ensure work compliance and resolve non-conformances.
• Manage staff under Quality Assurance function and collaborate with Production to meet customer requirements.
• Travel to meet customers and suppliers.

Job description

1. To role of a Management representative ensure the suitability of the current QMS in the organization. Review quality procedures to ensure close-looped activities.
2. Conduct ISO meetings.
3. Co-ordination with certificate bodies for follow-up and next assessment.
4. Provide training of ISO procedures to inspectors, staff and new employees and relevant personnel.
5. Ability to perform internal auditing in relates to ISO system requirements.
6. Ability to ensure & maintaining cohesive working relation with inter-department, customers & vendors.
7. Verify and ensure process documentation compliance; Work Instruction, Quality Inspection Plan, Injection Data Sheet & Inspection Records.
8. Able to lead and guide inspectors in ensuring work compliance.
9. Responsive towards resolution of process non-conformance.
10. Man-management of all staff under Quality Assurance function of the Organization.
11. Work closely with the production function of the organization to ensure the manufacturing of plastic parts and secondary process operations meet quality requirements spelled out by customers unceasingly.

Job Requirement
1. Minimum Diploma & Above.
2. At least 5 years in QA/QC Supervisory field
3. Have strong leadership skills.
4. Good written & oral communication skills.
5. Must have sound understanding & knowledge of ISO procedures.
6. Must have self-confidence in doing presentations to customers.
7. Must have strong understanding of doing 8D methodology reporting.
8. Must have fundamental knowledge of controlling all ISO documentation.
9. Understanding & knowledgeable in plastic injection molding process.
10. Knowledgeable in using mechanical measuring equipment.
11. Ability to understand and read 2D/3D drawing.
12. Knowledgeable and able to apply statistical process control techniques.
13. Able to understand First Article Process and Reports.
14. Must be able to travel and meets customers and suppliers.
15. Computer literate.
