Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QMS professional to help maintain and improve our manufacturing quality systems in Penang. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, ensure compliance with EMS/QMS, and support training initiatives for staff. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and lean practices is essential.

The role involves data-driven issue resolution, documentation, and active involvement in audits and inventory accuracy to sustain high product quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Engineering with QA knowledge.
• Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 and IATF16949.
• Experience in QA, data analysis and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and request related training to meet quality objectives.
• Plan and conduct on-the-job training as needed.
• Assist in achieving KPI targets and QA compliance.
• Assist production processes to ensure quality, safety and EMS/QMS compliance.
• Ensure Work Instructions and inspection standards are displayed near machines.
• Conduct stock counts and audits to keep inventory records accurate.
• Maintain QA procedures and documentation and ensure adherence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Verify countermeasures and report status to management.
• Assist in QMS administration and analytical testing for non-conformances.
• Contribute to training and development of staff; maintain proper filing.

• Plan and request the related training to meet quality objectives.
• Plan and conduct on-the-job training from time to time as when necessary. On-the-job training shall conduct with commensurate to the level of education the employee.
• To assist in the achievement of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
• To assist in managing the production processes and related outputs compliance to its Data collecting, analysis and update the relevant record to ensure production quality, safety & environment standards are complied with.
• Ensure availability of Work Instruction (W.I.) and related inspection standard are display with the machine.
• To involve in stock-count and audit to ensure inventory data are recorded accurately.
• Ensure QA team follows all documented procedures and instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement and contribute to manufacturing high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
• Verify the effectiveness of countermeasure with team member and periodically report to management concerning tracking status.
• To assist superiors in the administration of QMS.
• To assist superiors in performing analytical testing and resolve product non-conformance issues.
• To assist in the training & development of employees when required.
• To maintain proper filling for all respective document.
• Ensure the checklist/forms in use are compliance to EMS/QMS.
• Perform other tasks / duties as assigned or required.
• Diploma & above in Engineering or At least 2-3 years of working experience in QA field.
• Having knowledge in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 & IATF16949.
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version-control procedures, and defect management processes.
• Familiar with LEAN manufacturing and good knowledge of process improvement.
• Knowledge on scientific analysis problem solving e.g. 6 sigma, Kaizen, 8D, Ishikawa, 5x why analysis.
• Knowledge in 5S implementation, Safety and Health development is added advantage.
