Job summary

Daepac Industries in Johor, Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance professional to ensure product quality plans are followed and inspection/testing procedures are met. You will handle PPAP/FA for new products and publish reports for customer approval, review discrepancies, and support control plans and PFMEA development.

You will analyze quality metrics, apply SPC/Pareto/trend analyses, design KPI dashboards, and lead cross-functional teams on quality improvements while maintaining ISO 9001/ISO

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3–5 years in quality assurance, preferably in metal stamping, sheet metal fabrication, or plastic injection moulding.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to the product quality plan and procedures relating to inspection and testing of product.
• Handle PPAP/FA for new product and publish inspection report on time for CFT validation and customer approval.
• Review quality discrepancies before transitioning to mass production.
• Develop or support creation of control plans, PFMEA, and inspection criteria.
• Analyze quality metrics such as PPM, scrap rates, and rework costs.
• Apply statistical tools (SPC, Pareto, trend analysis) to detect recurring quality issues.
• Design dashboards and track KPIs for performance monitoring and improvements.
• Lead or support cross-functional teams on quality improvement projects.
• Use 8D, 7QC tools to resolve root causes.
• Drive continuous improvement mindset.
• Lead IPQC and OQC to establish quality system.
• Provide actionable recommendations from data and customer insights.
• Track and report progress on quality initiatives and improvement plans.
• Support audits and ensure follow-up actions.
• Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other standards compliance.
• Assist in updating internal quality procedures.
• Participate in regular quality review sessions.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Department Manager/Superior.

Ensuring compliance to the product quality plan and associated procedures relating to Inspection and Testing of Product.

Handling PPAP/FA for new product and publish the inspection report on time for CFT validation and customer approval.

To lead and monitor In-process Quality (IPQC) and Out-going Quality (OQC) to establish effective quality system.

Provide actionable recommendations based on internal data and customer insights.

Track and report progress on quality initiatives and improvement plans.

Support internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure follow-up actions are implemented effectively.

Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant quality standards.

Assist in updating and improving internal quality procedures.

Actively participate in regular quality review sessions.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by Department Manager / Superior time to time.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

At least 3 - 5 years in quality assurance, preferably in metal stamping, sheet metal fabrication, or plastic injection moulding.

Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & Knowledge of IATF16949 is added an advantage. Proficient in Basic Quality equipments, Profile projector and Smartscope.

Hands on experience with all quality measuring equipments such SMART scope, profile projector and other test equipments.

Experience to handle and utilize 7 quality tools in order to solve the quality problems by doing analysis.

Strong problem-solving ability, detail-oriented, able to work independently and under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in spoken and written English.
