We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to support NPI, supplier quality, inspection, FAI, production quality and customer requirements across our Southeast Asia operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with plastic, metal, mechanical assemblies and finished products, and be able to work directly with suppliers, customers and internal teams to identify and resolve quality issues. This is a hands-on position. The successful candidate should be able to read drawings, understand specifications, coordinate inspections, prepare quality documentation, follow up with suppliers and drive issues to closure.
Support Quality activities from NPI kickoff through production launch, including review of customer drawings, specifications, BOMs and quality requirements
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T; develop inspection requirements based on customer drawings
Coordinate dimensional inspection using CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges and other inspection equipment
Prepare and review FAI / PPAP / PQP documentation; ensure first articles meet drawing and customer requirements
Work directly with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues; follow up on supplier corrective actions and improvement plans
Support production quality activities and product inspections; investigate non-conforming products and identify root causes
Lead or support root-cause analysis and corrective actions; follow up on 8D / CAPA activities with suppliers
Maintain quality records, inspection reports and customer documentation; support control plans, inspection plans and quality procedures
Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, Program Management, Operations and suppliers; support customer quality inquiries and technical discussions
Support customer visits, audits and quality reviews when required
Diploma in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
2–5 years of relevant quality, manufacturing or supplier quality experience
Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications
Basic understanding of GD&T
Experience with inspection and measurement equipment
Good Microsoft Excel and documentation skills
Good English and Malay communication skills
Willing to travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites when required
Detail-oriented and analytical; hands-on and willing to work at the factory
Able to identify problems and investigate root causes; comfortable communicating with suppliers
